Natural resource manager with more than twenty years of experience in working with government agencies, NGO, and local communities in design, execution and evaluation of complex projects linking the environment to development. Field experience in understanding of the intricate relationship between human well-being and ecosystem integrity (social-ecological systems). In recent years, actively providing technical assistance to the World Bank’s Wealth Accounting and the Valuation of Ecosystem Services (WAVES) and UNEP (GEO-5 and GEO-6). Currently, undertaking teaching and research at the Universidad Rafael Landívar, where I am also responsible for the progress and the M&E of the Integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting System of Guatemala Project, and the USAID´s Monitoring & Evaluation Program. Editor of the Environmental Data Compendium of Guatemala and the Environmental Profile of Guatemala.
