    Good morning community,

I would like announce the call for application to the EDGE of Existence Fellowship, this year focused on the Asia and In-Pacific Islands region.

The EDGE of Existence Fellowship programme focus on providing early career conservationists with the tools and knowledge needed for them to become conservation leaders in countries where threatened species with a significant amount of evolutionary history occur. These species are known as the EDGE (Evolutionary Distinctive and Globally Endangered) species and include both terrestrial (Mammals, Amphibians, Birds, and Reptiles) and marine (Mammals, Sharks, Sea Turtles, and Corals).

During the 2-year Fellowship, training courses as well as ongoing technical support are provided along with a grant to implement a project aim towards the conservation of an EDGE species. These projects range from traditional population biology for management, to environmental economics and sustainability to reduce  human threats on the species/population. For more information please visit:

The strongest applications come from early career individuals that are already working, are interns, or who regularly volunteer in local or national NGOs. Therefore, I am writing to solicit your kind collaboration in sharing the EDGE Fellowship call for application among people with whom you have worked with, collaborated, or met in this region, as they might know early career conservationists with this profile, or might be interested in having a co-worker/student/intern/apprentice as a Fellow. Should someone like this come into your mind, please do share with him/her the call link.

Also, feel free to share my contact details (at the bottom of the email) with anyone you think might be interested in further information on the application process and the EDGE Fellowship in general. I will be glad to clarify any doubt and provide information.

Many thanks in advance, I very much appreciate you taking the time to help us disseminate the call.

    Best Regards,
