POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe introduction of digital technologies into all aspects of society and into most physical systems is leading to increasing complexity and new risks. At the same time, digital technologies are key to improved efficiency and productivity, and have the potential to bridge trust gaps and to contribute to solving current societal and environmental challenges. In order to support value creation without the potential negative side effects there is an increasing need to provide trust in digital assets.
We are an interdisciplinary and diverse research group with a stable, friendly and supportive working environment. We seek a motivated junior researcher who wishes to contribute to the safe and purposeful use of digital technologies, able to identify and mature circular and other relevant business models to scale up the assurance of digital assets.The ideal candidate has competence that combines knowledge on digital technologies and an interdisciplinary education related to sustainable development, social sciences, or business and management. The candidate will have capacity to carry out independent research, an analytic mindset, ability to synthesize information from diverse fields, and to clearly formulate concepts and ideas. Further, we are looking for skills within networking, written and verbal communication and a critical mindset able to link ideas in the interface between technology, sustainable development and business models.
The successful candidate will be part of the Digital Assurance Program in DNV GL Group Technology and Research. The focus of this team of researchers is to mature knowledge and services on simulation and testing technologies, on remote inspections, and on the assurance of digital assets. The successful candidate will be part of the third focus area of our program, the assurance of digital assets. By digital assets, we refer to the integration of digital technologies into different types of assets such as they become essential to an organisation's business operations. Digital assets can be virtual (data or a digital twin) or cyberphysical (such as a tagged product or an autonomous vehicle).
