The 12th Coastal Altimetry Workshop will run from 4-7 February, with the main workshop taking place 5-7 February to review the science and applications of coastal altimetry, from data processing through to emerging applications and new technologies. Discussions will include sea level, dynamic topography, currents, winds and waves, sea state, extreme events and exploiting altimetry and other data for both real-time monitoring and long-term change studies. The meeting will help collect requirements for a Global Coastal Altimetry Product Standard.
It will include a free training course on 4 February 2020, to introduce altimetry sessions and technologies to a non-expert audience, present applications for oceanography and discuss challenges in coastal zone altimetry. It will also describe existing coastal altimetry datasets, and present toolboxes and online processing platforms.
The deadline for abstracts is 15 November 2019, notification of acceptance will be by 13 December 2019. Deadline for registration for the training course (free of charge), as well as for the workshop, is 8 January 2020. For abstract submission please visit www.coastalaltimetry.org
