I am an early career researcher in the field of housing and settlements, disasters, reconstruction, risk reduction and resilience of communities in developing countries. I practiced as an architect for 7 years prior to this.
My core strengths fall in following areas:
- Long-term reliability of shelter projects in developing countries
- Design and construction for linking reconstruction projects to disaster risk reduction
- Project design and management in international development context
- Research, including design, data collection, analysis and reporting on topics of disaster resilience, housing, DRR or disaster management, in an interdisciplinary, inter sectoral and cross-cultural setting.
