Dr. Narendra Dalei completed his Ph.D during 2011 from University of Delhi in the area of Ecological and Environmental Economics. Presently he is working as Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale) at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun. He is the Programme Coordinator of Energy Economics Programme of the University. He is an ecological economist by training. He is reviewer of “Energy Policy”, Elsevier. He received certified reviewer award during 2014 and outstanding reviewer award during 2015 from “Energy Policy”, Elsevier. Dr. Dalei is the Co-Editor of “A Souvenir on Hydro Power in Uttarakhand, 2016” and “Energy Infrastructure and Transportation: Challenges and Way Forward”, Conference Proceedings, ISBN: 978-194343889-1, ICMI 2016. Dr. Dalei served as Co-Convener and Review Committee Member, International Conference on Management of Infrastructure, 2016. He also served as Co-Programme Convener, Management Development Programme of Demand Forecasting at UPES. Dr. Dalei is life member of Indian Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE), South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE), The Indian Econometric Society (TIES) and International Society for Ecological Economics (ISEE). Prior to joining UPES, Dr. Dalei worked in various positions at University of Delhi and its Constituents colleges, IGNOU, FICCI, Zenith Energy and NSSO, MOSPI.
Dr. Dalei has around 14 years of industry, research and teaching experience. He has published 12 papers in national and international journal of repute and contributed 13 book chapters/modules to UGC ePG Programme to his credit in the areas of economics, ecological economics, energy and environment. He attended and presented papers in 8 national and international conferences.
